NEW: THE AMAZON ROSE + WOMB COLLECTION IS HERE 🌹
WOMB is an offering to the sacred center — the place within that holds creation, grief, memory, and becoming.
Created in collaboration with Dr. Jill Blakeway — Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, clinical herbalist, and founder of the YINOVA Center in New York — WOMB pairs wild ceremonial cacao from the heart of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest with ashoka, goji berry, orange peel, and rose.
Rooted in Ayurvedic and Chinese herbal traditions, these botanicals have long been used in women’s herbal traditions in connection with hormonal rhythms, reproductive vitality, cyclical balance, nourishment, and restoration.*
For anyone honoring their inner temple — whether biological or symbolic — WOMB is a ritual of nourishment, grounding, and gentle restoration.
Molded into our custom rose shape, each piece dissolves effortlessly into ritual — making it easy to prepare a single cup, share cacao in ceremony, or intuitively adjust your serving one piece at a time.
Created With Dr. Jill Blakeway — Ceremonial Cacao For Cyclical Living
For decades, Jill’s work has centered around women’s health, fertility, Chinese medicine, and herbalism. Each botanical in WOMB was selected intentionally through the lens of traditional women’s herbal medicine, with a distinct purpose within the recipe.
WOMB honors a body that does not exist in a constant state of output.
There are seasons for creating and seasons for releasing. Times for expansion and retreat. Moments for action, grief, restoration, pleasure, stillness, and becoming.
Created in reverence for these changing rhythms, WOMB honors the feminine cycles of creation, release, rest, and renewal.
It tends to the physical and energetic womb space in us all: the center that holds creativity, grief, memory, intuition, and becoming.
For anyone honoring their inner temple — whether biological or symbolic — WOMB offers a moment to come back into relationship with the body and the rhythm it is actually in.
Why These Botanicals
🍫 Wild Strain, Single Origin Ceremonial Cacao grown in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest by Indigenous Awajún families. Rich, deeply rooted, mineral, and full-bodied, cacao forms the grounding heart of WOMB.
🌿 Ashoka has been used for centuries within Ayurvedic women’s health traditions and is known as “the remover of sorrow.” Traditionally associated with the womb, cyclical balance, and feminine vitality, Ashoka has long held a place in herbal practices devoted to women’s wellbeing. For WOMB, we use 100% organic Ashoka bark powder, certified under both USDA Organic and India Organic NPOP standards. Its place in WOMB speaks to both the physical and symbolic center of the formula — tending to the space where we create, release, remember, grieve, and begin again.
🌿 Goji Berry has traditionally been used to nourish blood and support vitality in Chinese herbal medicine. We source organic, medicinal-quality goji in small batches from a practitioner-grade Chinese herbal source with rigorous standards around herb identity, purity, pesticide testing, and quality.
🌿 Orange Peel has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries. Within women’s herbal traditions, it has also been used in formulas associated with cyclical breast tenderness and PMS. We use certified organic orange peel selected for its quality and purity.
🌿 Rose has long held a place in women’s herbal traditions and formulas associated with emotional and cyclical wellbeing. Revered for centuries for its connection to the heart, rose brings another layer of feminine herbal wisdom to the WOMB formula. We use organic Rosa damascena petal powder grown in Morocco.
Flavor Profile
Rich, rooted, and deeply opulent.
Smooth, round, and warming, with a balanced sweetness and a subtle naturally spiced quality that some have described as almost reminiscent of holiday spice.
Full-bodied yet incredibly smooth, WOMB is comforting, enveloping, and deeply delicious — with the botanicals woven seamlessly into the cacao rather than tasting distinctly herbal.
Origin — Amazonas, Peru
From the heart of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest.
Our cacao is grown by Indigenous Awajún families in a remote region of northern Peru where forest, river, and mountain meet — with no direct road access.
During harvest season, cacao is carried out of the forest by hand, a journey that can take hours through jungle terrain.
Harvested with care, fermented in small batches, and slowly sun-dried, it is prepared in rhythm with the land.
For the Awajún people, the land is a living relative. Cacao is cultivated in relationship with the forest, supporting both community livelihood and the protection of ancestral territory.
This is not industrial cacao. It is an offering shaped by land, lineage, and the living rhythms of the forest.
With WANA HEY, you enter a living exchange — with the rainforest and the hands that make this offering possible.
How Many Roses Are Included?
Each 1 lb bag contains approximately 45 cacao roses.
Because each rose is individually molded and naturally varies slightly in weight, the exact count may vary a little from bag to bag.
For a lighter daily cup, use 3–4 roses. For a richer ceremonial serving, use 5–6 roses.
🌹 How To Prepare Ceremonial Cacao:
- Add 4–6 WANA HEY roses to a cup or a blender.
- Add 3/4-1 cup of hot (not boiling) water.
- Froth, whisk, or blend until smooth.
-
Sip slowly. Soften. Listen.
The formula is already balanced and botanically complete, so we recommend experiencing WOMB as it is.
A Ritual For Every Rhythm
WOMB can become part of a regular cacao practice or be reached for when you feel called toward deeper nourishment and restoration.
Prepare a cup before journaling, meditation, gentle movement, an evening ritual, or simply when your body is asking you to turn inward.
You do not need a particular phase of your cycle, a particular kind of body, or a biological womb to enter into relationship with WOMB.
This is an offering to the creative center in us all.
This 1 lb bag is perfect for:
- Cacao lovers who want a smooth, warming, deeply satisfying cup for mornings, evenings, creative work, journaling, meditation, or whenever they feel called
- Anyone who wants exceptional cacao on hand for both everyday nourishment and the moments that ask for something more intentional
- Those drawn to cyclical living, feminine wellbeing, rest, renewal, and a deeper relationship with the body
- Ceremony facilitators, practitioners, and anyone who loves preparing cacao for friends and loved ones
-
Those who want an easy-to-portion 1 lb format to keep on hand as a ritual staple — whether cacao is part of your everyday rhythm or something you reach for occasionally
If you wish to deepen your ritual: The Devotion Bundle
3 50-gram Spiral Bars + 1 lb Roses
Our most complete ceremonial offering created for those who work with cacao as a living devotion.
The Devotion Bundle includes one 1 lb bag of rose-shaped ceremonial cacao for daily ritual, along with three 50 g Spiral Ceremonial Chocolate Bars — perfect for travel, gifting, or moments when you want cacao in a more intimate, self-contained form.
Both offerings carry the same WANA HEY Rose recipe, expressed through two different shapes — the rose for continuity and nourishment, the spiral for focused intention and remembrance.
A beautiful choice if you’re establishing a regular cacao practice, sharing with loved ones, or weaving cacao into multiple rhythms of your life.
How is this different from WANA HEY WOMB Spiral Ceremonial Cacao Bar?
Both forms carry the same WOMB recipe.
The 1 lb offering contains approximately 45 individually molded cacao roses, making it especially suited to regular cacao practice, intuitive serving sizes, sharing, and ceremony.
The 50g Spiral Bar offers the same formula in a smaller, portable form designed to be eaten directly or transformed into ceremonial cacao.
Our Why
“Look. I didn’t mean to start a chocolate brand. I was just trying to come back to myself.
Somewhere between the Peruvian rainforest and my own unraveling, cacao became a grounding ritual of remembering.
WANA HEY was born from craving something sacred that nourished body and spirit alike.
May every cup return you to your own inner rhythm — where the knowing lives not in the mind, but in the body.” — Ksenia
